Lifeguard TrainingThis Red Cross course trains and certifies participants in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. Students must be 15 years old by the completion of this course. The lifeguard certification requires a number of hours of training and NO CLASS SESSIONS CAN BE MISSED to receive the certification. Pre-requisites for the course are to swim continuously for at least 300 yards. Certain strokes will be required during a portion of the 300 yards (front crawl & breaststroke). Participants also have to retrieve a 10 pound brick from 7-10 feet of water and swim 25 yards with it. Participants will also have an opportunity to certify in Standard First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED Essentials. Textbooks will need to be purchased prior to the first class session and should be purchased at the Eau Claire Red Cross Office. Activity Schedule, hosted by Active.com
