Passes, tokens and tickets may be purchased from the transit drivers or at the Eau Claire Transit office located at:

The Student MAX Pass

Allows students (high school and younger) unlimited rides for $45 per semester. High school students must show student ID to purchase.

Fall Pass

Fall passes are valid from the beginning of the school year through December 31st.

Spring Pass

Spring passes are valid from January 1st through the end of the school year.

Student Freedom Pass

A Student Freedom Pass is available to during the months of June, July, and August for $30.

CVTC Semester Passes

Transit drivers do not sell CVTC Semester Passes. Please stop at the Cashier's office at CVTC to purchase the pass.

Pre-school Children

Pre-school children ride free when accompanied by an adult. Two children per adult may ride free. (Accompanying adults must pay full fare).

Paratransit Services

busThe Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) mandates that comparable transportation service is provided to passengers whose age and/or disabilities prevent them from accessing or navigating the regular fixed-route bus system. The City provides this service in partnership with Eau Claire County under contract with Tender Care Transport Service is demand-response and door-to-door, utilizing a fleet of lift-equipped passenger vans. Cost per ride is $3.00.

Passengers must complete an application to become certified to use paratransit services. To receive an application or to learn more about paratransit, call Eau Claire Transit at 839-5111 (TTY 711), or download the application now. Paratransit Application pdf_button Clients who are already certified may call Tender Care at 715-835-2435 or toll-free 1-800-498-2050 between 7:30a.m. - 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule their rides.

Reduced Fare

  • Seniors (65 or older) must show proof of age or a Medicare Card to receive half-fare. 
  • Disabled passengers must show a Medicare Card or Reduced-Fare Card to receive half-fare.

Please note: Badger Care Cards and MA Foward Cards do NOT qualify passengers for the half-fare.
