You must enter a not guilty plea on your initial appearance date as noted on the citation. You can do this either by appearing in court on that date and entering the plea in person, by writing a letter to the Clerk of Court asking that they enter the plea for you, or by completing a form at the Clerk of Court’s office. You will receive a letter informing you of your pretrial date and time.
