In 2007 the State of Wisconsin adopted state law s. 66.0420 which terminated local franchises and replaced them with uniform state franchise. As a result, the City of Eau Claire has no regulatory control over Charter Communications and is unable to help you with any issues you may have with your Charter services. Charter Communications has a state license issued by the Department of Financial Institutions.
