EAU CLAIRE COUNTY MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS

The Eau Claire County MRC (brochure) is a coordinated and collaborative effort by volunteers, government agencies, non-profit organizations, social service agencies, health care providers and government leadership, and most importantly, the citizens of Eau Claire County. The effort to create the unit began in early 2009 as part of the Health Department’s public health emergency preparedness and response program.

Our committed partnering organizations contributed their time to begin this effort because they recognized the need that exists in Eau Claire County for an organized volunteer medical and non-medical volunteer force. As the population of the county grows, public health and other threats to our health and security are recognized, and a variety of needs are identified that volunteers can help address.

The Medical Reserve Corps provides an opportunity for Medical and Non-Medical Professionals who live, work, and play in our great community to strengthen our local community emergency and disaster response plans.

Eau Claire City-County Health Department

The Health Department has volunteered to serve as the organizing partner for the Eau Claire County MRC unit. The department has committed staff and funding through grants to ensure the development of the MRC.
