Street Construction
Work is nearing completion on the reconstruction of Hastings Way between Galloway Street and the North Crossing. The new signalized intersections at Birch Street and Seymour Road are now fully operational. Birch Street, from Bergen Avenue to Pine Street, has been completed and opened to traffic. Motorists will encounter shifting lane closures on Hastings Way to accommodate finishing work on the project until the middle of November. The exit ramps at the North Crossing (HWY #312) have both been reopened to traffic. The west frontage road from Galloway Street to the north that had been used as a detour is now closed for reconstruction of the access to Hastings Way. A reopening celebration has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Labor Temple.
