The Fire and Rescue Operation Divisions has the overall planning and management responsibility for fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, water/dive rescue, confined space rescue, high angle rescue and personnel training for the organization.

The Fire and Rescue Operation Division's mission is accomplished through the efforts of one Deputy Chief, three operational (shift) Battalion Chiefs, six Captains, twelve Lieutenants, eighteen equipment engineers and forty-six firefighters.

The employees who make up the Eau Claire Fire Department are the most valuable asset the Department has. Without dedicated people, the Department cannot accomplish its mission. That mission, of course, is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Eau Claire.
