Waste Medications

rx_logo_2_2010The Eau Claire County Prescription Drug Work Group was organized in 2008 to investigate the development of a collection program for waste pharmaceuticals. The group successfully hosted a one-day collection event on May 16, 2009. The event collected over 1,000 lbs of waste prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Effective November 2, 2009, the group successfully implemented a permanent collection program for Eau Claire County.image
