Community Development Block Grant

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is funded by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The program provides annual funding to entitled cities to develop viable communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, principally for low- and moderate-income persons. At least 70 percent of the aggregate funds must directly benefit low- and moderate- income people. |
The City of Eau Claire Housing Division is currently accepting applications for the federal COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program 2012 Grant Funding. Applications will be accepted until March 2, 2012.

As an Entitlement Community, designated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the City of Eau Claire provides grant assistance for local projects through use of Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). Each year, organizations may apply for funding to implement activities that meet:

- 2009 CDBG/HOME Income Guidelines (updated 05/10)

CDBG Awards Process for the City of Eau Claire
The CDBG Grant Year operates on an August 1st to July 31st calendar. In order to be prepared for an August 1st start, the sub-recipient application process generally begins in January and ends with the awards being announced in late May or early June.- 2011 Action Plan
