The Inspection Services Division reviews plans, issues permits and inspects all new construction and remodeling work within the City of Eau Claire. This includes work relating to building construction, heating and air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and sign installation. The Division also enforces City ordinances relating to the floodplain, zoning, property upkeep and land use.

Note: Inspectors are available to answer questions and issue permits during the following times:

  • 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
  • 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
