Chippewa Valley Museum
Chippewa Valley Museum
The Chippewa Valley Museum is located in Carson Park. Major exhibits tell the story of the Ojibwe (Chippewa) Indians, the building of the area's first cities and towns, and Farm Life. Other galleries feature changing exhibits, and the museum offers a gift shop, research library, and a spectacular 21-room dollhouse. Treats from the 1950s Ice Cream Parlor are especially popular in the summer. An 1860s Norwegian log house and 1880s rural school welcome summer visitors. Special programs for both children and adults are regularly scheduled.
