West Central Drug Task Force
The police department has two officers assigned to the six county, thirteen-agency multi-jurisdictional drug unit, which actively works drug investigations in West Central Wisconsin. Because the City of Eau Claire is the largest jurisdiction in the six county area, a great deal of the investigative work is done in and around the City of Eau Claire. The task force is comprised of investigators from several law enforcement agencies in the area. For over twenty years this regional collaboration of resources has proven to be a very effective approach for disrupting and dismantling regional drug trafficking organizations.
