Scholarships Program Guidelines
The Eau Claire Parks and Recreation Department offers a scholarship program for low-income families. There are two steps for interested families to follow:-
Becoming an Eligible Family:
Any resident family of the City of Eau Claire currently meeting federal food stamp guidelines is eligible. All you need to do is complete the enclosed form and show proof that you are eligible for the Federal Food Stamp Program. You may do this at any time. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. Families will be asked to confirm their eligibility status once each year. -
Registering for Programs You Are Interested In:
If you are interested in participating in programs, you will need to follow the registration guidelines. These are outlined in our program brochures called "Prime Times". You must pay 25% of the listed fee. Registration is what will assure your spot in a program.
The only qualifier for scholarship is meeting income guidelines for the Federal Stamp Program. Our office is not familiar with and/or trained to determine need based on income or other aid programs. The Parks and Recreation Department offers several free youth and family programs year round. Check our "Prime Times" brochure for activities that may interest your family.
