Preventing Tobacco, Alcohol, and Other Drug Abuse

The Alliance mobilizes Eau Claire County residents to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and other drug misuse. As a result, residents improve the lives of children, youth, and adults through local activism. The Alliance hopes to see a community culture free from alcohol, tobacco, and other drug misuse.

Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA)

CADCA is a membership organization of over 5,000 anti-drug coalitions, each working to make their community safe, healthy, and drug-free.

Northwoods Coalition

Northwoods Coalition is the largest and oldest coalition dedicated to substance abuse prevention in Wisconsin. Representatives from coalitions in a 37-county region, including all 11 Wisconsin Tribal Nations, help shape polices, practices, and programs to address public health issues arising from the use of alcohol and other drugs.



Drug Take Back Day

  • Introduction: Unused or expired prescription medications should never be flushed or poured down the drain. Safely dispose of controlled and uncontrolled substances, over-the-counter medications, ointments, patches, creams, non-aerosol sprays, vials, and pet medications at these events.

We will be accepting medication disposals at both Marshfield Clinic - Eau Claire Center (2116 Craig Road, Eau Claire, WI, Entrance B) and the Altoona Police Department (1904 Spooner Avenue, Altoona, WI).
