In 2024 Parking Consultant Jon Forster with Fishbeck Consulting conducted a parking study in the city of Eau Claire.  On April 10, 2025 a meeting will be held in the North Conference Room of City Hall so that businesses and the community as a whole can discuss the recommendations of the Parking Study that was accepted by the City Council earlier this year.  This is just the first meeting in the public engagement process.

City staff will lead the discussion beginning with a recap of the recommendations and then seek input from businesses, downtown residents, and all residents who would wish to attend regarding the recommendations. 

Staff would like to hear if people agree with the recommendations, agree with recommendations with some modifications, disagree with recommendations, or have additional recommendations of their own.   A link to the recommendations and more information can be found below.

This meeting is being held over the lunch hour to hopefully be more convenient for downtown business owners, additional meeting(s) will be held in the evening to be more convenient for residents.  This is just the first meeting in the public engagement process.
