ECPD Notable Case Log 2/2 - 2/5

From 2-2-2026, 7:00AM, to 2-5-2026, 7:00AM, the ECPD responded to 177 calls for service. The calls per district are as follows: North District – 60, West District – 52, South District – 65.

 

January 2, 2026

North District

Domestic – Officers followed up with a domestic disturbance that initially took place on the 24th of January. The officer involved had attempted contact with the suspect numerous times through text message, phone calls and arriving at their residence, but the suspect had ignored the attempts. Officers discovered the suspect’s place of employment and reached out to their supervisor. Officers were welcomed to the place of employment by the supervisor. Upon arrival officers were able to privately and safely take the person into custody for domestic-related Battery and DC.

 

Domestic - Officers responded to a home for a disturbance. Person 1 had bond conditions not to have contact with the victim in this incident, Person 2, along with the address. Person 1 arrived today and allowed themselves into the apartment. Person 2 told them to leave and informed them it was against their bond conditions to be at the address or to have contact. Person 1 became upset and threw a glass of water at Person 2 and shouted about a former first lady. Person 1 was arrested for Bail Jumping and a new charge of domestic DC.

 

Domestic - Officers were detailed to the above address for a disturbance in progress. It was reported Person 1 was highly intoxicated and threatening to assault the caller. Upon arrival, officers located Person 1 in their bed. They were uncooperative and began shouting at officers calling them racial slurs. While Person 1 was being taken into custody, they continued their uncooperative behavior and pulled away from officers. They were arrested for domestic DC and Resisting.

 

South District

 

Retail Theft - Officers were called to check on a person outside of a superstore at the bus stop. The person was drinking in violation of their bond conditions. It was also determined they stole numerous bottles of alcohol from a different superstore. They were arrested Bail Jumping (misd. and felony) and Retail Theft. They were cited for Open Container.

 

Retail Theft/Follow Up - Officers followed up with a retail theft where a person stole items from a superstore. Contact was made with the person at their residence, and they were ordered in for the Retail Theft charge.

 

Retail Theft – Follow Up - Officers followed up with two individuals who were observed on surveillance camera stealing nearly $300.00 of clothing items from a department store. Contact was made with the pair. Both were cooperative and admitted to theft and were provided ordinance citations for Retail Theft.

 

Warrant - Officers were detailed to DOC for a warrant pick up. Upon arrival contact was made with a client who was arrested and transported to the ECCJ without issue.

 

 

January 3, 2026

North District

Hit and Run – Person 1 crashed into an attended vehicle, then fled the scene. BOLO charges were added for them to be arrested for OAR and Hit and Run – Attended. A DOC warrant was also issued for the person.

 

Warrant Pick Up - Officers observed four people camping in a parking ramp. Video review showed they had been in the ramp for several hours and had urinated in the ramp. One of the people was arrested on a Dane and EC County warrant and was in possession of Meth, THC, paraphernalia, and a concealed knife. The others were issued citations for numerous violations.

 

Disorderly - Officers were dispatched to a location after the caller went out to their driveway to find their neighbor in the caller’s vehicle. The neighbor stole several items and retreated back into their residence. They were contacted by officers and taken into custody. They were resistive and had to be placed in the WRAP prior to transport to jail.

 

Warrant – Officers were patrolling when they recognized a person from prior contact. It was discovered the person had a Peirce County warrant. They were taken into custody without incident and transported to the ECCJ.

 

West District

 

Domestic Disturbance – Person 1 became upset after Person 2 stopped responding to their texts. Person 1 attempted to gain entry into their locked residence while Person 2 was home, causing damage to the building. Person 1 was arrested for domestic Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage, and Possession of THC.

 

South District

 

Disorderly – Officers added a BOLO charge of DC for a person after they were involved in an altercation with another subject in a grocery store parking lot.

 

 

January 4, 2026

North District

Disorderly Conduct - A downstairs neighbor reported a physical domestic currently taking place at their neighbors’ residence. Officers arrived and made contact inside the residence. Inside the residence was a disaster and there were signs of a physical confrontation to include scratch marks and abrasions to Person 1’s stomach and shoulders as well as a large clump of their hair freshly plucked out on the ground. Not much cooperation was gained, but ultimately Person 2 was arrested for domestic DC, Battery, Bail Jumping (m) and a PO Hold. Probation also chose to place a hold on Person 1 and they were taken to jail after.

 

West District

 

Trespass - The caller reported two unknown people had entered their house without permission and were leaving as the caller was calling 911. The caller described the two individuals and advised that they were changing clothes to alter their appearance so they would not be located. Contact was made with the pair nearby. When they were contacted several clues pointed to them being involved in the trespassing. It was learned Person 1 had 2 Dunn County warrants for their arrest. Person 1 was arrested for the warrants along with Disorderly Conduct, Crim Trespass to Dwelling, misdemeanor Bail Jumping x3 and a PO Hold. Person 2 was ordered in for Disorderly Conduct, Crim Trespass to Dwelling. Probation later issued a warrant for Person 2, but they had already been ordered in and released.

 

South District

 

Check Person - Officers were dispatched to an oil change facility as staff were with a person they believed to be under the influence. The person was unable to pay for their services to the vehicle. Contact was made with the person and observations of slurred and lethargic speech were noted along with other clues. SFSTs were completed with the person and they were arrested for OWI 2nd offense. Search incident to arrest would yield numerous prescription pills on their person and in the vehicle. They were also arrested for Poss Illegally Obtained Prescription, felony Bail Jumping and a PO Hold.

 

 

January 5, 2026

North District

Counterfeit/ Mental Health – A cab company reported they transported a person from the downtown area to their home, and the rider was charged a $7 fare. The rider paid with a $100 bill. After dropping the rider off, it was learned the bill was fake. Officers located the rider and spoke with them.  They denied knowing the bill was fake and made other nonsensical comments. They were ordered in for Theft of Services and misdemeanor Bail Jumping.

 

Disturbance/ Mental Health - Less than two hours after the above case officers responded to a bar for the report of a person in the bar making threats and taking their clothes off. Contact was made with the same suspect in the bar, who had stripped down to their undergarments. They were taken into custody and transported to ECCJ for Disorderly Conduct and misdemeanor Bail Jumping x4. They were required to post bond as this was the 5th contact on 2/4/26.

 

West District

 

Warrant Pick Up – A person turned themself in on their probation warrant at the jail, without issue.

 

Disturbance - Officers responded to the area for the report of a person threatening to “whip” the caller and their family. Contact was made with the problem person, who had been in possession of a 10-foot-long vine. It was learned they had a valid warrant for their arrest. Once the vine wielding suspect learned of the warrant, they became resistive. They attempted to run away across the street. Officers were able to catch the person and decentralize them. The person continued their active resistance and assaultive behavior. Officers were eventually able to get them in custody, and they were arrested for the warrant, Resisting, Disorderly Conduct and misdemeanor Bail Jumping.

 

South District

 

Disturbance - Officers responded to the residence for the report of a person that just wanted a person to leave their apartment. It was learned the caller had met the suspect at a bar about a week prior, and they had been staying at the caller’s apartment since. They were heavily intoxicated (PBT .210) and had open cases requiring absolute sobriety. They were arrested for felony Bail Jumping x5.

 

Traffic Complaint- Comm Center broadcasted about an erratic driver that eventually pulled into a parking lot in EC. Contact was made with the vehicle that was parked sideways across several stalls. The driver was outside the vehicle dancing. Numerous clues were detected by officers, as well as the odor of THC. Due to the person’s erratic state, no SFSTs were conducted. They were arrested for OWI 1st, Poss of THC and misdemeanor Bail Jumping x8.
