From 3-30-2026, 7:00AM, to 4-2-2026, 7:00AM, the ECPD responded to 165 calls for service. The calls per district are as follows: North District – 46, West District – 38, South District – 81.
March 30, 2026
West District
Assault – Officers were detailed to a home to contact Person 1, as they reported they were just assaulted by Person 2. Person 1 reported Person 2 punched them in the face over a dispute the two had regarding relationship drama. Person 2 locked themself inside the residence and was ultimately talked out by officers and taken into custody for Battery and a Probation Hold. They reported that Person 1 had pushed them during the altercation. Person 1 was also on probation and had rules of no acts or threats of violence. Person 1 was not criminally charged with anything; however, Probation placed a hold on them. Person 1 was taken into custody and transported to the ECCJ.
March 31, 2026
North District
Warrant Pick - Officers recognized a person at the Bus Transfer Station and knew them to have a warrant. The person was cooperative and taken into custody for their warrant.
West District
Follow-up – An officer recognized a person and knew they had a warrant and BOLO charges. The person ran away, but after a short pursuit was apprehended and decentralized by officers. During the search of the person, a gem bag containing 0.55 grams of meth was located. The person was arrested for a Retail Theft BOLO, Resisting/ Obstructing, DOC warrant, Possession of Methamphetamine, and misdemeanor Bail Jumping x2.
South District
Traffic Stop - Officers conducted a random registration check and learned the registered owner had a revoked driving status. After making the traffic stop the RO was driving. It was then learned the driver also had a valid Dunn Co warrant. They were cooperative and arrested for OAR and the warrant.
Traffic Stop – Officers were monitoring a known drug residence when they observed a vehicle was being driven by a person they knew to have a warrant. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver exited the vehicle and was taken into custody. The passenger was identified, and it was learned they also had a valid warrant. A search of the vehicle would yield drugs and drug related items. They were both arrested on their warrants and additionally the driver was arrested for OAR, misdemeanor Bail Jumping, Poss of Meth and Poss of Drug Paraphernalia.
April 1, 2026
North District
Disturbance Follow Up - Officers followed up with a disturbance incident that occurred on March 16th after they recognized the suspect in the incident. The suspect was issued a DC citation as they had created a disturbance at the Day Resource Center and forcefully pushed someone out of anger.
Trespassing - Officers took a complaint of trespassing and retail theft at a business. Staff stated a person that had been trespassed in the past came into the business, stole mints and a sandwich and left. After reviewing surveillance, the suspect was identified and later located by officers. They were arrested for Trespassing, Retail Theft, Bail Jumping and a Probation Hold.
South District
Traffic - Officers recognized a person operating a motor vehicle and knew they had a valid warrant. A traffic stop was conducted, and the person was taken into custody without issue.
Disturbance - Officers were sent to a residence, as a parent called reporting their two children were physically fighting and the parent was unable to separate them. Before officers arrived, Child 1 fled the scene and was located a short distance away. Through interviews it was learned the family was getting evicted and the argument tonight started as Child 1 and Child 2 were blaming each other for the eviction. They both admitted it turned physical and Child 1 admitted to slamming Child 2 on the ground and choking them. Child 1 was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.
Warrant - Officers were detailed to DOC for a warrant pick up. Contact was made with a client in the front lobby. They were arrested without incident and transported to the ECCJ.
April 2, 2026
South District
Check Vehicle – Hotel staff called regarding an unresponsive person in a vehicle. Upon arrival it was determined that the person was deceased. Officers located a lighter and tin foil that would later test positive for fentanyl in the person’s lap. Their vehicle was parked directly next to a security camera that captured their overdose which occurred the previous day. The medical examiner and detectives were notified.
Hit and Run - Officers were sent to a hit and run that occurred in a superstore parking lot. The complainant gave the license plate and a description of the person that struck the complainant’s vehicle then got out and yelled at them. This description matches the person who is known to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was registered to that person’s S/O. Contact was attempted but unsuccessful, BOLO’s were entered for the suspect and the S/O-R/O to determine who was operating.
