From 4-20-2026, 7:00AM, to 4-23-2026, 7:00AM, the ECPD responded to 209 calls for service. The calls per district are as follows: North District – 74, West District – 52, South District – 83.
April 20, 2026
West District
Sex Assault – Officers spoke with a victim after they called to report being sexually assaulted by a classmate. Based upon the investigation the classmate was arrested for 4th Degree Sexual Assault. That person was also arrested recently by Altoona PD for a similar incident that occurred in their jurisdiction.
April 21, 2026
North District
Disturbance - Officers responded to a disturbance between a couple. Person 1 advised that they and Person 2 were in the process of breaking up, and they had gone over to wash clothes at Person 2’s house. While they were at the house, Person 1 was sitting on Person 2’s bed and Person 2 kicked Person 1 in the stomach causing pain. Eventually, it was learned that the relationship did not meet criteria for a domestic-related mandatory arrest; However, Person 2 was arrested for DC and simple Battery, and transported to the Chippewa Jail.
West District
Drug Investigation - Officers observed a vehicle leave a known drug house and stopped it for an equipment violation. Two people were contacted. They consented to a pat frisk of their person. During this frisk, an item was felt in a person’s “coin pocket.” They removed a folded-up piece of cardstock containing 2.11g of meth. They were arrested for Possession of Meth, felony Bail Jumping x2, Bail Jumping, and a PO Hold.
April 22, 2026
North District
Traffic Stop – Officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for an Eau Claire County warrant.
OMVWI – Officers observed a vehicle deviating from its traffic lanes and failing to stop for a red light. The vehicle eventually stopped and the driver showed several signs of impairment. SFSTs were attempted but discontinued for the driver’s safety due to their intoxication. They were arrested for OMVWI-5th offense, Failure to Install IID, OAR, and cited for numerous violations.
West District
Traffic Stop – Officers stopped a vehicle after noting neither of the registered owners had valid driver’s licenses. The driver was ordered in for Operating without a Valid License, 2nd offense.
Crash with Injury – A person drove off the roadway and struck a light pole, disabling their vehicle. The driver displayed signs of impairment and sought medical attention for injuries related to the crash. They were ordered in for OMVWI (3rd) and were issued various citations. They PBT’d, and the result was .324BrAC.
Warrant – Officers met Bloomer PD at a gas station to take custody of a person they had arrested for an EC County warrant. The person was turned over to the jail without incident
South District
Domestic - Officers responded to a fight between a couple, Person 1 and Person 2. The couple argued after a night of drinking. Person 1 punched a wall and accidentally hit Person 2 in the arm when doing so. Person 1 was arrested for domestic Disorderly Conduct. 72-hour no-contact was enforced.
Assault - Officers were called to a physical altercation because of a road rage incident. Person 1 and Person 2 ended up in the parking lot of a senior living center after an issue on the road when Person 1 approached Person 2. Due to the altercation, one of the people sought medical attention. The investigation into possible arrests is ongoing.
Traffic – Officers received information that a person would be driving in the area. That person has a suspended DL. Officers located them operating a vehicle. The person was stopped and issued a citation for OAS.
Theft - Officers took a report of two people seen on camera taking scrap metal from a car sales lot. Staff provided photos of the suspects. One suspect was identified from the photos. Officers followed up with the person, who admitted to stealing the scrap metal. They were ordered in for Theft. The second person has not been identified yet.
April 23, 2026
West District
Check Person/ Follow Up - Officers had contact with a person who had a BOLO charge for DC and misdemeanor Bail Jumping. They were taken into custody without incident.
South District
Traffic – Officers were conducting patrol in an area and stopped a vehicle after observing an equipment violation. A person was observed concealed in the back seat under blankets. Once they were uncovered, officers were aware that person had a valid DOC warrant. They resisted arrest, but were ultimately taken into custody. A straw with methamphetamine was located after the arrest. They were arrested for the DOC warrant and Resisting.
