ECPD Notable Case Log 5/8 - 5/11

From 5-8-2026, 7:00AM, to 5-11-2026, 7:00AM, the ECPD responded to 213 calls for service. The calls per district are as follows: North District – 63, West District – 69, South District – 81.

No Major Cases to Report

 

May 9, 2026

North District

Check Person - Passersby in the area reported a naked person was yelling. Officers located the person yelling in the area without any pants on. The person had been contacted under five prior case numbers that day. The person was arrested and required to post for Lewd and Lascivious Behavior and Disorderly Conduct.

Family Trouble - Officers responded to a disturbance between Person 1 and Person 2. Person 1 said Person 2 was intoxicated and creating a disturbance. It was decided Person 2 would be arrested for Domestic DC due to their behavior. They were also in violation of their bond conditions. They were arrested and placed on PO hold.

Disorderly - Officers responded to a café reference a person refusing to leave and being disorderly. Officers contacted the person. They were issued a DC citation and banned from the café.

West District

OWI – An officer located a broadcast vehicle which was now parked in a cemetery. The four occupants of the vehicle were intoxicated and had open intoxicants. The driver attempted SFSTs and was arrested for OWI 2nd. Their PBT was .134. Passenger 1 had an absolute sobriety bond condition, leading to an order in for felony Bail Jumping. All occupants, including Passengers 2 and 3 were cited for Open Intoxicants.

Assault - During an altercation at a bar, Person 1 slapped Person 2 across the face. Person 1 was ordered in for Disorderly Conduct.

Traffic Stop – An officer stopped a person for equipment violations. The person was ordered in for Operating after Revocation.

Traffic OWI – An officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver showed signs of impairment. They went through SFSTs and had a PBT of .179 BrAC. The person was arrested for OWI-1st and cited for OAS, Non-Registration, Open Intoxicants in MV and Failure to Maintain Exhaust System.

 

May 10, 2026

North District

Threats – A person reported a burglary not in progress at their residence. The person appeared to be in a manic state when in contact with officers and was also intoxicated. They reported two subjects had entered their home and stole two wallets, locking the deadbolt as they left. The person was highly agitated with officers and dispatchers during the investigation. They began making threats that they would go to the street where the suspects were and people would die. The person later reported they would stab the person the next time they saw them. An officer was able to contact the person outside their home and take them into custody. A box cutter was located on their person, search incident to arrest. They were arrested for Unlawful Use of a Telephone and Domestic-related Disorderly Conduct.

Warrant – An officer recognized a person mowing the lawn and knew they had a warrant. The person was taken into custody. .47 grams of methamphetamine were recovered search incident to arrest. The person was arrested for Poss. of Methamphetamine, misdemeanor Bail Jumping x2 and 4 warrants.

Checking - Officers conducted a bar walk through. During the walk through, officers recognized a person and were aware they had bond conditions prohibiting them from being in a bar. The person was contacted and arrested for four counts of felony Bail Jumping.

West District

Assault - Officers responded to a bar for a report of an assault that had just occurred. It was reported the four suspects had left the area in a vehicle. An officer located the vehicle and stopped it a short distance away. Officers contacted Person 1 who admitted to being at the bar but stated they weren’t involved in the fight. The person was arrested for misdemeanor Bail Jumping X2. Person 2 was also contacted in the vehicle. A record’s check showed they had a valid warrant. They were arrested on the warrant. The investigation into the fight is still ongoing.

Disturbance - Officers were detailed to a bar for a reported disturbance. Bar staff advised Person 1 was laying on the ground near a fence and Person 3 was trying to drag them to a car. Officers contacted Person 1 and their significant other’s sibling, Person 2. Officers learned Person 1’s significant other, Person 3, was getting kicked out of the bar by staff. As Person 1 and Person 3 left the bar, Person 3 began hitting Person 1. Officers intervened and took Person 3 into custody while they resisted. During Person 3’s arrest, Person 1 began swinging at officers and officers took them into custody while they resisted arrest. As this was ongoing, Person 3 began making threats to kill officers when they got out. Person 3 was arrested for DC, Battery, Threats to LE. Person 1 was arrested for DC, Battery to LE, Threats to LE, misdemeanor Bail Jumping, Poss. of THC and Possessing Illegally Obtained Prescription.

South District

Burglary - Officers were detailed to the area for a car prowler. The caller could hear car doors being shut and someone walking car to car with a flashlight. Officers contacted two people. One returned with multiple warrants and was taken into custody. There have been no victim reports of car entry thefts currently.

Burglary – Person 1 reported their child, Person 2, broke into their home through a balcony door, causing damage to the door. Person 2 was still inside the residence causing a disturbance. They were arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property, felony Bail Jumping x2 and a PO hold.

Battery - Officers were detailed for what initially came out as a 10-50 PI. What was discovered upon arrival was three subjects were in a verbal altercation after a minor fender bender in a parking lot. It was discovered that Person 1 began arguing with Person 2. Person 1 punched Person 2 in the face, knocking them unconscious. Person 3 attempted to intervene between the two at which point Person 1 then struck Person 3 in the face causing Person 3 to receive a chipped tooth. Person 1 had fled from the scene on foot. Officers later located them walking near a park and they were taken into custody for Substantial Battery X2 and DC.

Retail Theft - Officers were detailed to a department store reference two juveniles unpackaging and stealing BB Guns. The juveniles were uncooperative with loss prevention and fled from the store. Officers arrived and were able to detain one juvenile, however the second fled on foot before shortly thereafter being taken into custody. The two juveniles were identified. Parents were notified and both were referred for Retail Theft and Resisting.

 

May 11, 2026

North District

Disturbance - Officers responded to a shelter for a report that a person was attempting to assault staff. The person left on foot prior to officers’ arrival. Officers located them at a laundromat. The person tried leaving upon officer contact and was detained. They resisted and were handcuffed and secured in a WRAP. The person was arrested for DC, Bail Jumping and Resisting.

West District

Family Trouble - Officers responded to Person 1’s residence for a report of an intoxicated person screaming and breaking things. Officers contacted Person 1 outside the residence. They advised Person 2 was in the basement and refusing to leave. Officers went to the basement and identified themselves but got no response from Person 2. Officers located Person 2 hiding in a closet where a scoped rifle was also located. Person 2 was arrested for a DOC warrant, Resisting and CCW-knife.

Retraining Order Violation - Officers responded to a reported court order violation. Person 1 reported Person 2 was trying to call them in violation to their court order. Officers contacted Person 2 who admitted to the missed calls. Person 2 was ordered in for violation of a court order.

South District

Traffic – An officer stopped a vehicle for OAR. The registered owner was confirmed to be the driver. The person had an open felony case and was taken into custody. During this time, K9 Bolt indicated on the vehicle. 17 grams of Meth and drug paraphernalia were located during a search of the vehicle. The person was arrested for OAR, felony Bail Jumping, Poss. with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Poss. of Drug Paraphernalia a PO hold.

Retail Theft – An officer stopped a vehicle being operated by a person. The vehicle was the suspect vehicle in a retail theft case at a department store. The person admitted to a theft of Pokémon cards. The person was ordered in.
