Motorists who regularly travel Hastings Way should be aware of upcoming roadway maintenance between Clairemont Avenue and Seymour Road beginning Sunday night, May 31, 2026.

To help minimize impacts on daytime traffic, work will take place overnight from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning, weather permitting.

During overnight work hours, motorists can expect single-lane and moving lane closures throughout the project area. Drivers are encouraged to use caution, slow down in work zones, and allow extra travel time when possible.

The project includes the removal and repainting of faded or missing pavement markings, such as centerline striping, crosswalks, stop bars, and turn arrows. The estimated cost of the project is $190,000.

Some nighttime noise associated with grinding and painting equipment is expected, though impacts are anticipated to be minimal.

The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this important maintenance work is completed to help improve roadway visibility and safety.
