From 6-19-2026, 7:00AM, to 6-22-2026, 7:00AM, the ECPD responded to 265 calls for service. The calls per district are as follows: North District – 78, West District – 86, South District – 101.

June 22, 2026

North District

Traffic Stop - Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on the North Crossing. The driver was arrested for an EC County warrant and cited for OWS.

Checking – Officers saw a person passing a glass pipe to others and smoking from it in the parking lot across from the overnight shelter. When officers confronted the person, they attempted to conceal the pipe behind their leg. The person had bond conditions not to possess or consume illegal drugs and was on probation. They were arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, misdemeanor Bail Jumping, felony Bail Jumping and a PO hold.

Warrant Pickup - Officers had contact with two people at an encampment in the city. Both had valid Chippewa County warrants and were taken into custody without incident.

West District

Check Welfare – A person called to request officers check on their parent’s welfare due to some erratic behavior. The parent was contacted and appeared fine. They were arrested on a Chippewa County warrant.

Warrant – Officers arrested a person on a probation warrant after they turned themselves in at the EC County Jail.

South District

Warrant - A person was contacted at their residence and taken into custody for an Eau Claire County warrant.

Traffic - Officers conducted a traffic stop for equipment violations. The vehicle’s operator was ordered in for OAR and failure to install IID.

June 23, 2026

South District

Traffic - Officers stopped a vehicle after learning that the Registered Owner (RO) had a suspended DL. Contact was made with the RO. Consent to search the vehicle was obtained, and officers located 4.69g of meth. The person was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and two counts of felony Bail Jumping.

Traffic – Officers stopped a vehicle for expired registration and contacted the driver. They had a revoked license and were required to have an ignition interlock device, which they did not. They were arrested and ordered in for OAR, Failure to Install IID, and Bail Jumping.

Traffic – Officers stopped a vehicle after observing it leave a tavern and swerve as it was moving. Contact was made with the operator who displayed signs of intoxication. The person failed SFSTs and was arrested for OMVWI 2nd. A search warrant for their blood was obtained. PBT = 0.155

June 24, 2026

North District

Domestic - A third party received a text from Person 1 indicating they had been restrained with duct tape and assaulted by their significant other, Person 2. Person 1 reportedly locked themselves in a room while Person 2 was still present. Person 1 sent pictures of injuries consistent with an assault, and increasingly concerning texts led officers to force entry into the residence. Person 2 was located, arrested, and found to still have a roll of duct tape in their possession. They were arrested for Discharging Bodily Fluids, three counts of felony Bail Jumping, domestic Disorderly Conduct, Intimidation of a Victim, Battery, Strangulation, and False Imprisonment.

Check Person – Officers checked on a person during weekly encampment clean-up efforts. The person was found to have THC and Paraphernalia on their person. They were ordered in for the charges.

Traffic - Officers stopped a vehicle for expired registration and contacted the operator. They were found to be OAS and the registration was also suspended. The vehicle also smelled like raw marijuana. The driver was cited for the traffic issues and ordered in for Possession of THC after marijuana was located in the center console.

West District

Trespassing – Person 1 reported ongoing issues with their neighbor, Person 2. On the day of the report, Person 2 moved and damaged cameras on Person 1’s property. Person 2 was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Damage to Property, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, Possession of THC, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Person 2 was required to post bond, as they appeared likely to return to cause additional damage, and had previously made homicidal and suicidal statements.

Information – A person wished to file a police report regarding a complaint about the Deferred Acceptance of a Guilty Plea (DAGP) Program. After officers took the report, they arrested the complainant for a Probation Warrant.

Domestic – Person 1 called to report they were struck by their significant other, Person 2. The caller had been picked up by a friend and had left the scene. They advised Person 2 had been drinking throughout the day and that an argument started over Person 2 having contact with a different potential romantic partner. While officers were looking for Person 2 on scene, large amounts of illegal drugs were observed in plain view in their vehicle. A short time later Person 2 exited the residence and fled on foot, only to be apprehended a short distance away. They were initially arrested for domestic charges and taken to the jail. A search of the vehicle revealed: $5k in cash, 500+ grams  (1.1 pounds) of mushrooms, 119+ grams (over a quarter pound) of suspected cocaine, 35+ grams of acid tabs, 170+ grams (.38 pounds) of suspected ketamine, 15+ grams of suspected MDMA, 700+ grams (1.54 pounds) of THC, 700 unknown pills and a litany of smaller quantities of illegal substances.

Check Person - Officers were detailed to a report of multiple people camping under a bridge. Contact was made with 4 people there. Person 1 was uncooperative with officers, fought with them and was decentralized and taken into custody. Person 2 was verbally uncooperative threatened to sexually assault and impregnate officer’s spouses. Persons 2, 3 and 4 were all issued multiple citations.

South District

Assist-EMS – Officers and EMS responded to a person who was not breathing at a hotel. Officers administered Narcan to the apparently overdosing person. While doing so, the other room occupant fled the area. The person who had not been breathing was medically evaluated. In the hotel room, officers located over 480 grams (1.05 pounds) of methamphetamine, as well as quantities of marijuana, suspect psylocibin mushrooms, and fentanyl. The overdosing person already had a DOC Warrant. BOLO Charges were added for them to be arrested after they were evaluated.  The other occupant also had BOLO charges added.  Both need to be arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Mushrooms, and Marijuana.

Warrant - Officers contacted a person at their residence and arrested them for an EC County Warrant without incident.

June 25, 2026

North District

Theft - Officers were dispatched to an area regarding a person subject stealing things out the back of a truck owned by the City of Eau Claire. Contact was made with the person, who claimed they did not know the truck with large City of Eau Claire logos was owned by the city.  They “thought they saw a tent in the back of the truck”, so they were checking it out. They were arrested for Theft and search incident to arrest turned up several concealed knives and 1.17g of meth. They were arrested for Theft, Possession of Meth, Possession of THC, CCW-Knife and a PO hold.

72 Hour No Contact Violation – A caller reported that their ex-significant other was calling from jail in violation of the 72 Hour No Contact Provision. The suspect was arrested for two counts of Violating the No Contact and 3 counts of felony Bail Jumping. Jail staff took their phone from the suspect to prevent further violations.

Warrant Pickup - Officers located a person camping in a city park. They were arrested for a DOC Warrant and Possession of THC.

Ordinance Violation – An officer observed a person urinating outside of the overnight shelter. When the person was contacted, they were found to be in possession of a drug pipe and a THC vape pen. They were cited for Public Urination and Possession of THC.

West District

Disturbance - Officers were detailed to meet with Person 1 regarding a history of domestic abuse they had been victim of. Person 1 reported over the previous month they had been emotionally and physically abused by their former significant other, Person 2. There were several reported incidences of Person 2 striking Person 1 due to arguments relating to infidelity. There was another altercation where Person 2 became upset with Person 1 and damaged the windshield of their vehicle. Person 2 was contacted and arrested for Domestic related DC X2, Battery X2 and Criminal Damage. 72-hour no contact was enforced.

South District

Disturbance - Officers were dispatched to a residence for a report of a disturbance. The caller stated that their significant other was the problem person, but they had left prior to officers’ arrival. Later, officers were called back because the significant other had returned and caused another disturbance. They were taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct and taken to jail. Jail staff recovered a piece of burnt tin foil that field tested positive for meth. They were arrested for DC, Poss. of Meth, Drug Paraphernalia and a PO Hold.
