From 6-26-2026, 7:00AM, to 6-29-2026, 7:00AM, the ECPD responded to 186 calls for service. The calls per district are as follows: North District – 65, West District – 48, South District – 73.

June 26, 2026

North District

Check Person - Officers responded to a check person case where one person had been drinking and was being argumentative with the other parties in the house. The person was contacted and eventually advised that any continued belligerent behavior would result in them being taken to jail. They were ordered in for Bail Jumping as they PBT’d .168BrAC.

West District

Disturbance - Officers responded to the report of 10 people fighting at a tavern. When they arrived, it was learned that a spilled drink started the argument and an 18-year-old and several others needed to be banned from the bar. A short time later, officers were called back for another patron refusing to leave.  A 19-year-old was the problem person this time. Both underaged patrons were cited accordingly.

June 27, 2026

North District

Traffic Officers stopped a vehicle operating without a license plate displayed. The driver returned with no license issued with two prior OWL convictions. They were ordered in for OWL 3rd.

Bond Violation – Officers arrested a person who was still incarcerated in the ECCJ for violating their bond conditions of contacting another person. This is the second time the person violated the no contact from jail. They were arrested for felony Bail Jumping and remained in jail.

West District

Warrant - Officers were patrolling and met with a person who was observed leaving a residence with multiple recent nuisance issues. The person had a DOC warrant for their arrest. Search incident to arrest revealed prescription pills that did not belong to the person. They were arrested for the warrant and Unlawful Possession of a Prescription.

Pursuit - Officers attempted to stop a motorcycle traveling at 100 MPH on the North Crossing. The motorcycle’s license plate had been tucked under the tail of the bike. The pursuit was immediately terminated for safety.

Disturbance - Officers responded to an anon call about a person breaking things in a house. Officers arrived and observed the house in disarray with items thrown about and broken. A person walked over a smashed television on the floor before exiting the house. The person was uncooperative and was detained. There was limited cooperation in the house, but it was determined that person had been the one to destroy the house. They were arrested for DC and misdemeanor Bail Jumping.

Retail Theft - Officers responded to a gas station to check the welfare of a patron. Staff reported the person was slumped over outside of the store. Staff also reported they stole six alcoholic beverages a day prior. They were arrested for Retail Theft and banned from the gas station.

South District

Traffic - Officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver returned with a warrant. They were taken into custody without incident.

Stolen Auto - Officers checked for a stolen auto that ECSO was investigating. The suspect was identified with ties to this area and while officers were checking the area, the stolen auto arrived on scene. The person quickly exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A BOLO of OMVOC has been added.

Follow up/Drug Investigation – Officers were detailed to a follow up contacting a person who was involved in a previous case.  In that case, officers responded to a motel room that had a large quantity of narcotics consisting of fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medication and mushrooms. The involved person called inquiring about where other property of theirs had ended up. Officers asked the person to meet with them at the PD. Upon the person’s arrival, they were taken into custody for a DOC warrant and the criminal charges of from the BOLOs associated with the original case.

June 28, 2026

North District

Warrant – Officers recognized a person in a downtown parking lot and were aware the person had a DOC warrant. They were taken into custody without incident.

Traffic - Officers attempted to stop a bicycle that was operating without lights. The subject fled on the bike but was apprehended nearby. The person was identified, and was found to be in possession of a gem baggy of methamphetamine at the time of arrest. They were arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Resisting.

Warrant – Officers were patrolling when they recognized a person and knew they had an Eau Claire County warrant. The person was contacted and arrested without incident.

West District

OMVWI - Officers stopped a person for speeding. Officers observed an odor of intoxicants when speaking to the driver and asked them to complete SFSTs. The driver was arrested for OMVWI 7^th.

Family Trouble - Officers responded to a home after a juvenile reported their parent and stepparent were arguing and it was possibly physical. Officers contacted the parents. The stepparent admitted to pushing the parent who then fell over a flowerpot. They were arrested for Domestic-related DC.

Trespassing - Officers responded to a gas station for a person refusing to leave the property. The person was contacted and was found to be in possession of a needle that contained meth. They were arrested for Possession of Meth and felony Bail Jumping.

Domestic - Officers were detailed to a home for a domestic between two family members. Upon arrival, it was discovered Person 1 became involved in a physical altercation with their parent, Person 2, over the animals in the house urinating on the floor along with Person 2 shutting the Wi-Fi off which upset Person 1. Both were physical with one another, and it appeared both could have easily handled the incident much differently and more civilly. Both were arrested for Domestic DC. The 72 hour was enforced.

South District

Family Trouble - Officers responded to an apartment for a family trouble involving a couple. The two had gotten into an argument and Person 1 broke Person 2’s glass water bottle before leaving. A BOLO charge for Person 1 was added for Domestic-related DC.

Restraining Order Violation – Person 1 reported their ex-significant other, Person 2, had been repeatedly violating a restraining order. Person 2 located Person 1 at the movies and followed them to a restaurant. Person 2 was contacted and admitted to numerous contacts. They were arrested for Violating a Harassment Injunction.

Warrant – Officers were patrolling an area when they recognized a person and were aware they had an Eau Claire County warrant. They were contacted and taken into custody without incident.

Retail Theft-Follow Up - Officers checked the recent BOLO lists and discovered a person was listed as suspect in a retail theft and had not yet been contacted. Officers contacted the person, interviewed them and received a confession of them unlawfully taking items from a retail store. They were cited for Retail Theft and the BOLO was removed.

Domestic - Officers were detailed to a residence for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, it was discovered a person was upset with their parent for using methamphetamine and thought it was appropriate to punch them in the face. After assaulting their parent, they damaged several items within the home. They were arrested for Domestic-related Battery, DC and Criminal Damage. 72-hour was waived.

June 29, 2026

North District

Domestic - Officers were dispatched to a residence for a reported domestic disturbance in which the suspect had left prior to law enforcement's arrival. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect vehicle unoccupied a short distance from the residence. Officers contacted the caller, Person 1; the suspect, Person 2; and their 9-year-old child at the residence. The investigation revealed that Person 2, who was intoxicated, slapped their child’s hand, which led to an argument between Person 1 and Person 2. During the argument, Person 2 punched Person 1 in the groin and later threw a phone at them, striking them in the chest. Person 2 admitted to driving prior to officers' arrival. They refused field sobriety tests and were subsequently arrested for OWI 1st Offense, Domestic Battery, and Disorderly Conduct. 72-hour no-contact provision was waived. Prior to field sobriety tests, the person voluntarily administered their own at home PBT to themselves in an attempt to demonstrate that they could drive. That PBT result was 0.12 BrAC.

South District
