The Eaux Claires Festival is coming to Carson Park this weekend, and the City is excited to welcome everyone to Eau Claire! To help everyone enjoy a safe and successful event, please review this important information about Carson Park access, traffic, and parking.
Carson Park Access
To accommodate festival operations, public vehicle access to Carson Park will be closed Thursday afternoon, July 23, through Sunday. A festival pass or credential is required to access the designated secured event site.
Temporary Changes to Park Amenities
During set-up and while the festival is taking place, several Carson Park amenities will be temporarily affected:
- Tennis Courts: Carson Park tennis courts are closed July 18–29. The nearest City tennis courts are located at Owen Park.
- Playgrounds: The Carson Park playground remains open, but there will be no public vehicle access to the park July 23–26. Nearby playgrounds include Cannery Park, Owen Park, Boyd Park, and Upper Mt. Simon Park.
- Boat Launch: The Brauns Bay boat launch remains open, but there will be no public vehicle access 7/23-26. The Half Moon Beach boat launch will be available. (Reminder: motorized boats are not permitted on Half Moon Lake.)
Traffic & Parking Information
To help keep traffic moving safely 7/23-26:
Parking will be prohibited on Lake Street and on W. Grand Avenue (between Fifth Avenue and the Causeway) from July 23–26.
Please follow posted signs and directions from traffic personnel.
For Festival Attendees - Getting to the Festival
On-site parking is sold out. No additional parking will be available during the festival, so please do not drive to Carson Park expecting to find parking.
Instead, attendees are encouraged to:
- 🚶 Walk from downtown Eau Claire.
- 🚲 Bike or ride a Byrd scooter, with parking available near the Chippewa Valley Railroad (811 Carson Park Drive).
- 🚌 Park free at CVTC (613 W. Clairemont Ave.) and ride the complimentary shuttle. Shuttles begin at 11 a.m. each festival day and run continuously.
- 🚖 Use rideshare services, with pickup and drop-off at the designated location near Lake Street and West Grand Avenue.
