City of Eau Claire Seeks Applications for Transit Center Mural

Post Date:07/22/2026 2:52 PM

The City of Eau Claire invites local artists to submit proposals for a new public mural that will transform a wall at the Eau Claire Transit Transfer Center into a vibrant celebration of cultural inclusion.

The mural project grew out of recommendations from a City advisory committee focused on cultural inclusion and is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) as part of the City's community revitalization efforts.

The City is seeking creative proposals that explore themes of cultural inclusion, belonging, and the richness of our diverse community. Interested artists are encouraged to complete the mural proposal form and submit their concept for consideration. Artists should interpret these themes in their own unique style while creating a piece that is welcoming, inspiring, and reflective of our community.

Application Timeline

  • Proposal deadline: August 6, 2026
  • Artists notified: By August 26, 2026

The selected mural will be painted on a wall measuring approximately 17 feet by 43.5 feet at the Eau Claire Transit Transfer Center, 414 S. Farwell St.
