From 7-27-2026, 7:00AM, to 7-30-2026, 7:00AM, the ECPD responded to 238 calls for service. The calls per district are as follows: North District – 75, West District – 69, South District – 94.

July 27, 2026

North District

Disturbance - Officers responded to an area as a person was causing a disturbance. The person was taken into custody for the DOC warrant they already had out for them.

South District

OWI – An officer came upon a vehicle running parked in the middle of the roadway and the operator slumped over. The officer contacted the person and attempted to complete SFSTs, the person was unable to complete them. They were taken into custody and a search incident to arrest revealed a gem bag of suspected meth. The person refused the blood draw and warrant was obtained. They were arrested for OWI 7th, Possession of Meth, felony Bail Jumping and a PO hold.

Assault – Officers responded to a gas station for a victim who was assaulted. Person 1 advised they were kicked by Person 2. Video showed that Person 2 threw the victim to the ground. They were able to get a plate and made contact with Person 2 at their residence. Person 2 said that they were a rideshare driver and that the victim was the problem. Video evidence showed otherwise. Person 2 was arrested for DC and Battery.

Juvenile Case – Officers responded for an uncontrollable juvenile. The juvenile was out of control destroying the house. This is a respite home. Officers arrived and the juvenile had pulled drywall off the wall. They kicked an officer in the face. A WRAP was used to secure the juvenile, and they were transported to JDC.

July 28, 2026

North District

Warrant – An officer observed a person and was aware they had an active Monroe County Warrant. The person was taken into custody without incident.

Noise Complaint – Officers responded for a report of five people screaming outside. Officers contacted a single person sitting in a car. The person returned with a Chippewa County warrant and was taken into custody without incident.

Warrant – An officer located a person and knew they had a probation warrant. The person was arrested without incident and turned over at the jail.

Traffic Stop – An officer stopped a vehicle as the R/O showed revoked. The driver and R/O was ordered in for OAR, misdemeanor Bail Jumping and Failure to Install IID.

West District

Traffic – An officer stopped a vehicle entering a bar parking lot for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver. K9 Manso arrived on scene and alerted on the vehicle. Adderall, acid, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia and 2 facsimile firearms were recovered during the search of the vehicle and the driver. The driver was arrested for Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Hallucinogenic Drug, Possession of an Illegally Obtained Prescription, CCW knife, Resisting and felony Bail Jumping (x7).

South District

Retail Theft – Officers were detailed to a department store for a retail theft. Loss Prevention had a person detained after they stole $465 worth of tools. The person was arrested for Retail Theft, felony Bail Jumping (x3) and a PO hold.

Warrant – Officers observed a person with an Eau Claire County and DOC warrant exiting a residence. They were taken into custody.

Checking – An officer went out checking on two subjects at a park. Person 1 returned with an Eau Claire County and DOC warrant. They were taken into custody. An officer located an electronic control device during a search incident to arrest. The person was arrested on the warrants and Possession of an Electric Weapon.

Warrant Pickup – Officers saw a person at a park. When they pulled up, the person took off running toward the river. A foot chase ensued and the officer caught the person and took them into custody. The person was arrested for the warrant, Possession of THC, CCW Knife, misdemeanor Bail Jumping and felony Bail Jumping (x6).

July 29, 2026

North District

Traffic Stop – Officers located a person biking in the area, and they were aware the person had a warrant. The person fled from officers but was decentralized from their bicycle. Various drug paraphernalia were located with the person. They were arrested for a DOC Warrant, Resisting, and Possession of Methamphetamine, THC, and Drug Paraphernalia.

Trespassing – A person was cited for being in the library despite a lifetime ban.

Domestic – Officers dispatched for a potential domestic. Officers located Person 1 and learned they and Person 2 had been verbally arguing. Person 1 had a valid DOC warrant. They were arrested without incident.

Hit and Run – A SUV reversed into a City end loader. The Officers learned it was a rideshare driver operating the SUV. The rideshare passenger spoke with officers on scene and provided the driver’s name. The passenger advised once the crash occurred the driver abruptly cancelled the ride and fled. Officers located the driver and vehicle. The driver was cited for Hit and Run Attended.

Warrant Arrest – An officer recognized a person who was found with an active felony EC County warrant. An officer contacted the person and they were arrested without incident.

Warrant Arrest – An officer recognized a person who had EC County warrants. The officer contacted the person and they were arrested without incident.

West District

Warrant Pickup – An officer located a person and arrested them for a Child Support warrant and DOC warrant. During the arrest, meth was located. The person was also arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.

Property Crash – A vehicle lost control and struck a light pole. The driver was on their way to bartend and admitted to recently consuming alcohol. The person attempted SFSTs and was found to be impaired. They were arrested for OWI (1st) and was issued numerous citations. PBT of .174.

Traffic Stop – An officer stopped a person after they left a known drug house. A later consent search of the person’s vehicle yielded meth and paraphernalia. The person was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Drug Incident – Officers checked on individuals at a pavilion. They located Person 1 beside a bong and a jar with apparent marijuana. When officers contacted Person 1, they attempted to discard the items by throwing them into the river. However, the bong struck the ceiling of the pavilion and shattered, and the jar only made it to the grass just outside of the pavilion. The person resisted arrest but was taken into custody. They were arrested for Possession of THC, Resisting/Obstructing, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and misdemeanor Bail Jumping.

Traffic Stop – An officer stopped a person for expired vehicle registration. The person was revoked due to OWI. They were arrested for OAR.

Warrant Arrest – Officers were monitoring the area when they observed a person and were aware they had a warrant. The person was contacted and placed in handcuffs. They then became uncooperative and refused to walk. Another officer responded and they were able to get the person in their squad and they were transported to jail.

Threats to Accuse of a Crime – On 7/22/26, an officer investigated a civil dispute between a business owner and employee. Information was learned that the owner had fired the employee and told them if they filed for unemployment, they would report them for a theft that had occurred and was rectified months before. The owner was subsequently arrested for WI Statute 943.30 Threats to Injure or Accuse of Crimes.

South District

Death Investigation – A neighbor reported not seeing a person for over two weeks. When officers arrived, they located the person deceased. Nothing suspicious was observed, and a dog was transported to ECCHA. The ME responded and detectives were notified.

July 30, 2026

North District

Traffic – An officer stopped a vehicle. K9 bolt indicated on the vehicle during the stop. 4 grams of meth, .25 grams of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia were recovered during the subsequent search. The driver was arrested for Possession of Meth, Possession of a Schedule I and II Narcotic and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Assault – Officers were detailed to a park’s trailhead restrooms for an assault not in progress. Person 1 advised they were punched numerous times inside the restroom. The suspect was identified as Person 2. Person 2 was later located and arrested for Battery and DC.

Fight – Officers responded for a report of a person fighting two others. The suspect was identified. Witnesses reported the suspect walked over to a car and hit a person before walking to the driver side of the car and began hitting another person. The suspect was arrested for Battery, Disorderly Conduct, felony Bail Jumping (x3), Possession of THC and a PO hold.

Family Trouble – Officers were detailed for multiple calls that Person 1 was inside a trailer and out of control. Person 1’s sibling, Person 2, reported being assaulted by Person 1. Person 1’s parent, Person 3, reported Person 1 jumped on their car and smashed their windshield. Person 1’s other parent, Person 4, also reported being assaulted. Officers formed a perimeter around the lot and began dialogue with Person 1 who refused to exit. Person 1 eventually surrendered to officers. Person 1 was arrested for Domestic-related DC (x2), Criminal Damage, Battery, Resisting, misdemeanor Bail Jumping (x4), felony Bail Jumping (x2).

Traffic – An officer stopped a vehicle driven by Person 1 and occupied by Person 2. Person 2 gave officers consent to search their person. 7.39 grams of methamphetamine were recovered. Drug paraphernalia and prescription drugs were later located in the vehicle. Person 2 was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, and a PO hold. Person 1 was arrested for Possession of THC, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a PO hold.

South District

Check Welfare – Staff reported a person was passed out in a car in their lot for the past 30 minutes. Officers contacted the person who woke up abruptly. The person admitted they’d just used heroin cut with fentanyl 40 minutes earlier. A search of the vehicle was conducted. Drug paraphernalia, marijuana and .63 grams of fentanyl were recovered.  The person was eventually transported to the jail. They were arrested for a DOC warrant, Possession of Schedule I and II Narcotic, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
