Permits
City of Eau Claire Engineering uses the Evolve Public Permitting Portal to issue all permits.
By using the portal, you can:
- Submit a permit application and upload supporting documents.
- Check the status of your permit request.
- Search for Engineering permits.
- Pay for permit fees or other outstanding fees.
Permit types available for submittal using the portal are listed below. Fees are based on rates stated in
the City of Eau Claire Fees and Licenses Adopted Schedule.

| Bike Corral - City Install: | $350 Base Fee + $20.00 Per Week |
| Dumpster in Right-of-Way: | $45 Base Fee + $4.00 Per Day |
| Lane Closure: Driving or Parking: | $45 Base Fee + $4.00 Per Day |
| Sidewalk Closure: | $45 Base Fee + $4.00 Per Day |
| Storage Container in Right-of-Way: | $45 Base Fee + $4.00 Per Day |
| Street Closure: | $45 Base Fee + $4.00 Per Day |
| Parking Waiver: |
$20 Per Week* *Offered in 1-, 2-, 4-, 8-, and 12-week increments. |
| Work in Right-of-Way (ROW): |
$45 Base Fee + $4.00 Per Day* *Fee for batch permits will vary. |
| Sidewalk Cafe: | Dependent Upon Permit Type |
| Sidewalk Grade Request: | No Fee to Submit |
