This interactive dashboard shows case counts and trends for many communicable diseases diagnosed in Eau Claire County.

Why are some diseases included, but others aren't? This dashboard provides data for diseases that are considered reportable to public health. When someone is diagnosed with one of these diseases, health care providers or laboratories are required to report it to the Health Department. These diseases must be reported because of their contagiousness, severity, or frequency. If you don't see a disease listed here, that means there have been no reports of that disease in the time period displayed in this dashboard.

Some diseases - like seasonal influenza (flu), norovirus, and more - are not reportable to public health. You can find a list of reportable diseases in Wisconsin here

Why do you track communicable diseases? Reporting these diseases shows us how often they happen. This helps us identify disease trends and track outbreaks - which helps us control future outbreaks so fewer people get sick.

When was this dashboard created? This dashboard was created in 2025. It will be updated regularly. The update schedule may depend on disease trends and staffing.
