Home MenuAldermanic Districts
Updated Wisconsin Assembly and Senate Districts were passed as 2023 Senate Bill 488 by the Wisconsin State Assembly and the State Senate on February 13, 2024. These districts were then enacted by the Wisconsin Governor on Monday, February 19, 2024, as 2023 Wisconsin Act 94.
The establishment of these new legislative district lines split several existing election wards within the City of Eau Claire. As a result, the City must readjust the boundaries of these wards.
The shifting of election ward lines necessitates the updating of the City’s Aldermanic Districts. While no changes were made to the exterior boundaries of the City’s five Aldermanic Districts, several of the election wards within them, particularly those wards impacted by 2023 Wisconsin Act 94, have been altered.
