Department Responsibilities
Design, survey, construction & inspection of municipal infrastructure including streets, sanitary sewer, water, storm water, bridges, trails, parks, plazas, and buildings as outlined in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

Department Functions
| Prepare and administer the special assessment program. |
| Maintain official engineering records and maps. |
| Oversee and maintain the emergency warning system, geographic information systems (GIS) program and parking operations. |
| Provide engineering assistance to other city departments and coordinate contracted consulting engineering services as needed. |
