When the City declares a snow event to permit a full residential plow operation, alternate side parking regulations are then put in effect on all streets within the City of Eau Claire for a period of 72 hours. The City Code of Ordinances Section 10.38 Alternate Side Parking aids the Street and Fleet Division of the Community Services Department during a snow event.
Odd Numbered Days
Vehicles shall only be parked, stopped, or left standing on that side of the street having odd-numbered addresses.
Even Numbered Days
Vehicles shall only be parked, stopped, or left standing on that side of the street having even-numbered addresses.
The above provisions shall only be in effect between 12:00 midnight and 5:00 p.m.
The above provisions shall not supersede more restrictive parking regulations in effect within the City of Eau Claire.
Notice of the snow event shall be provided at least 6 hours prior to the regulations taking effect. This means the notice must be provided prior to 6:00 p.m. in order for alternate side parking to commence that night at 12:00 midnight.
