2025-26 Flu Shots

Child Flu Shots

Any child 6 months through 18 years who meets one or more of the following criteria is eligible for a flu shot at the Health Department through Wisconsin's Vaccine for Children program:

  • Uninsured
  • Have Wisconsin Medical Assistance (BadgerCare Plus)
  • American Indian or Alaskan Native

Flu shots are given by appointment to those who meet the above criteria. Please call 715-839-4718 to make an appointment. Children who do not meet eligibility requirements are able to receive a flu shot at a healthcare clinic or pharmacy.

Note: Children who are underinsured - whose insurance doesn't cover vaccines - can go to a federally qualified health center to receive certain free immunizations. Find a federally qualified health center near you by clicking here. (For example, Northlakes Community Clinic).

***The flu vaccine will be available at these fall 2025 community clinics at no cost for any children or adults who need them.

Adult Flu Shots

The Health Department has a limited supply of adult flu vaccines for adults without insurance, or whose insurance does not cover the cost of flu vaccines. If you are eligible, please call 715-839-4718 to schedule an appointment.

For adults with health insurance, please see your healthcare provider or a local pharmacy to get your flu shot.
