The Eau Claire Transit Development Plan, in partnership with Via Mobility LLC, is a comprehensive effort to enhance the city’s transit system. This initiative focuses on improving accessibility, efficiency, and equity through data-driven analysis, stakeholder engagement, and innovative service proposals. The key components of the plan include:

• Existing Conditions Analysis: Reviewing current transit services and analyzing demographic data to identify areas with the greatest transit needs, including seniors, low-income households, and individuals with disabilities.
• Stakeholder and Public Engagement: Conducting interviews, focus groups, and surveys to gather insights and ensure community input shapes the plan.
• Service Alternatives and Recommendations: Developing proposals for on-demand Microtransit services, optimizing fixed-route transit, and integrating these modes for improved coverage and efficiency.
• Cost-Benefit Analysis: Evaluating the financial and operational impacts of proposed changes to ensure sustainable and effective transit solutions.

The plan aims to create a multimodal transit system that better serves Eau Claire residents while addressing gaps in current services. The collaboration will culminate in a final report and recommendations, including innovative strategies to support equitable and efficient public transportation.
