This project proposes a new shared-use path along Birch Street and McKinley Road between River Prairie Drive and State Highway 312 with construction anticipated for 2027 or 2028. It is a joint effort between the Eau Claire County Highway Department, the Town of Seymour, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and the City of Eau Claire.
This project expands the County Highway T corridor from two lanes to four lanes and will be completed in phases with proposed construction in 2027-2028 on Phase 1: 17th Avenue to 33rd Avenue. This project addresses the structural deficiencies of the existing bridge on Dewey Street at its crossing of the Eau Claire River. The City of Eau Claire in cooperation with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is planning for reconstruction of the structure, because it has reached the end of its useful life.
This project begins at Horlacher Lane and extends east to Gateway Drive with construction dates yet to be determined. It a joint effort between the Town of Washington, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and the City of Eau Claire.
