A human case of West Nile Virus has been confirmed in Eau Claire County. It is the first confirmed human case of the virus in the county in 2025. The Health Department is urging residents to continue to protect themselves from mosquito bites.

The Health Department is asking for your help to find a dog that bit a man on Sunday, September 14 at around 8:30 a.m. The bite happened in the parking lot of 1146 Imperial Circle, Eau Claire. The dog was described as a medium-sized, black-and-white border collie-type breed of dog.
