Exercise your licensed dogs without leashes at one of our dog parks!

 

The City of Eau Claire offers three dog parks where people may responsibly exercise their dogs.  All visitors to the dog park must purchase either an annual dog park license or pay a daily use fee. Daily passes may be purchased at the park.

Otter Creek Off-Leash Dog Park

4503 House Road Eau Claire, WI (Map) This facility is located at the intersection of Gateway Drive and House Road (convenient to both Route 53 and I-94). 

Sundet Off-Leash Dog Park

4703 Robin Road, Eau Claire, WI 54703 (Map)  This facility is located off Hwy 53 at Melby Street, intersection of Robin Road and Runway Avenue. 

Southwest Off-Leash Dog Park

1000 Ferry St, Eau Claire, WI 54703 (Map) This facility is located at the end of Ferry Street, south of Crescent Avenue.

Dog park License fees for 2026

  • For information on purchasing the license either online or in person: click here
  • Annual Pass City Resident: $36/dog (Pay 1/2 annual fees after July 1st)
  • Annual Pass Non City Resident: $45/dog (Pay 1/2 annual fees after July 1st)
  • Daily Pass: $5/dog (purchased at the park)

All dogs must be licensed.  City of Eau Claire licenses are available for purchase either online or from the Treasury Department in City Hall.  City Hall is located at 203 S. Farwell Street, Eau Claire, WI 54701.  With questions, call 715-839-4923.

Rules & Regulations  

Dogs must be licensed to insure up-to-date vaccinations and have either a dog park license or daily pass to use the parks. Rules and Regulations are also posted at the Park.

PARK RULES

  • Dogs must be kept leashed except when they are inside an off-leash area.
  • Dogs must remain under their handler’s control at all times.
  • Dogs must remain within sight of their handler at all times.
  • Handlers must have one leash per dog.
  • All dogs must be licensed and must display dog park tags.
  • Day-use permits must be with the handler.
  • An attending adult must closely supervise all children in off-leash areas.
  • Dogs must be leashed at the first sign of aggression or unruliness.
  • Dogs in heat are not permitted in off-leash areas
  • No more than 3 dogs per handler are permitted at one time in off-leash areas.
  • Handlers must always clean up after their dog(s) in off-leash areas.
  • Handlers must observe all other applicable ordinances, rules and regulations.
  • Dogs declared dangerous animals under city code section 6.08.045, or dangerous or potentially dangerous dogs under State Statutes are not allowed in off-leash areas.
